These FAQs are listed to provide you with quick answers to questions we received from previous guests. If you have any questions that are not covered in this section or elsewhere on our website, please email nat@florenceforfoodies.com or sam@florenceforfoodies.com

1. I filled out the form but haven’t heard back?

Please allow up to 24 hours for us to answer your request, we will then upon availability let you know if we have spots available for you. If you do not hear from us after 48 hours, please re-send your request. Please make sure to check you spam folder and to add nat@florenceforfoodies.comor sam@florenceforfoodies.com as a safe address. We have had instances in which our confirmation mails ‘got stuck’

2. Am I booked after filling out the booking form and it goes through?

We will check availability and get back to you ASAP letting you know if we can accommodate your request or not.
Please note that your booking  is only confirmed once you have received a confirmation via email.

3. How do we pay & what’s included?

Florence for Foodies does not require any pre payments or deposits. We accept cash payment only at the end of the tour.

Please note: If you booked a museum and/or combo tour (Nude & food and/or Venus & Wine) be informed that the museum requires cash ONLY once we pick up the tickets together after you have joined the tour.

Included in the Food tours:

  • Licensed Guides
  • All Tastings
  • Hints & Tips of Restaurants, Cafés, Gelateria etc

4. How do we find the meeting point?

Information on how to locate the Meeting point will be provided in our email confirmation. Upon request, a Meeting Point Guide in .pdf format is available for easy access to information if you are offline on a mobile device and/or for printing purposes

5. What happens if I am late to the meeting point?

Our tours are joinable and it’s not right for the participants to wait. Many of our tours include visit to the state museums for which we have booked tickets for a certain time, therefore we are required to be there on time otherwise we can be denied an entrance.

6. We are staying in the countryside and are thinking of driving to Florence. Will that be a problem?

Our recommendation is to use public transportation as driving in Florence is not always user friendly.
However, if public transportation  is not an option for you, the city of Florence provides a dedicated web page with a comprehensive list of  parking areas. Web site is in Italian but provides a good overview of central parking areas and free downloads of GPS coordinates: http://www.firenzeparcheggi.it/index.php?id=99

7. I am a vegetarian; will I still be able to enjoy the food?

Yes! We have hosted lots of vegetarians and have come up with great options for them.

8. I am travelling with children, will they enjoy the tour?

Our tour is a great way for your children to learn fun facts about the city and history through good food.

9. What if I am dissatisfied with the tour?

Florence for foodies appreciates and encourages the honesty of our guests as we always want to improve. If you for some reason would be dissatisfied with our tours then please bring this up with your guide ASAP. This gives us a chance to resolve your concerns/issues directly and is much more preferred for both parties instead of managing disagreements via emails etc.
